  • MINNEAPOLIS, MN / MAY 8, 2020: Where day dreams and memories collide. During the early months of COVID, everything came to a halt, including the opportunities to venture out and create new images. Day and night my mind lived in a perpetual dream state. I turned toward my archives of photographs to create multiple exposures that reflect my lived experience in this new existence.

Skophammer has done research that shows child support collection offices around the country collect money from parents of children who have been placed in foster care, often throwing families deeper into poverty.

However, since deciding to go gray during the pandemic, Holm has experienced a boost in self-esteem and receives many compliments on her gray hair. Living in a district that has been historically conservative but has flipped blue in recent years, Ve Vang Anderson is an undecided voter who voted for Trump in 2016, but can't bring herself to vote for him again in 2020. Vevang Anderson is a mother of 3, and owns her own  hair salon.

  • GRANITE FALLS, MN - DECEMBER 10, 2020: Ashley  Hanson, 37, of Granite Falls, MN, poses for a portrait on December 10, 2020. Hanson is a 2018-2020 Obama Fellow, and works to bring community-based theater to rural areas. Hanson co-founded a production company called PlaceSpace Productions, and also started Department of Transformation, a non-profit that works with artists to find creative solutions to address social issues in rural  communities.
